I've been mulling over regardless of whether to buy this block considering that I do not really have any Henckels knives but since it can be virtually impossible to come across a steak knife block locally, I decided to give it a go...and really glad that I did. Aside from getting, in my opinion, the requisite 8 slots (who has place settings for 6???), the block has a nice angled design, is solid, and has a smaller footprint on my crowded counter space. The only factor that I believe that can be improved is usually to widen the base to ensure that there is much less chance of tipping (left or ideal), but that would come in the expense of the smaller footprint.
