Bought this about four years ago to accommodate a gradually growing knife collection. It had been the only real under-cabinet option at that time. Lengthy story short: it's a very clever idea, also it does a fantastic job keeping your knives safe and from sight until needed. Fatal flaw would be that the ball-bearing swivel goes away with time. Would I purchase another? yes, however i really wish they'd mounted the swivel dead center within the knife block to be able to minimize the rotating diameter from the block and also the levered forces about the swivel mechanism. Thankfully it's on purchase now. Possibly it's being eliminated? (more...)
