I had two knife blocks - one for probably the most regularly utilised and also the other holding everything else. Getting acquired the Shun Utility knive, at the same time as two Santokus, I needed much more substantial slots than I had in my existing block, but didn't want slots for steak knives. This one is perfect. Holds the 7" and 5.5" Shun Santokus on the left side in case you are facing the block side, the Utility "spreader" knife at the best appropriate, and one of my Wusthof chefs on the correct, as well as five smaller knives. The slot for the shears is a little massive for my Wusthof shears, but it is fine. Love the bamboo, and mine has the Shun logo on the front. (Read More…)
