This is the greatest knife block I could come across and I love it. It really is really well produced, stable, and nicely created (knife positions). A lot of other large blocks have the cleaver slot at the quite best, even thought most cleavers are only 6 inches extended while chef's knives are up to 14 inches. This block also fits several knives into a reasonably small space. I've had blocks that only hold 10 or so knives and this 1 just isn't that significantly bigger. The only competition for this block is the Henckel 22 slot-block (with the cleaver on best) along with the chef knife slots aren't wide enough to hold critical chef knives (read the reviews for your self).
