The J.K. Adams Joey Slanted Knife Block is the original, first designed in the early 70's when the gourmet cook's tools market in this country was in its infancy. J.K. Adam's goal was to create a cutlery organizer that would hold knives at a low enough angle that they could be easily removed from the block when it was pushed back under a cabinet overhang. The name kangaroo was coined when J.K. Adams added the pouch for steak and paring knives for increased storage capacity. The Joey Slanted Knife Block holds 6 large knife and 4 paring/steak knifes.
